New Sidewalk

After Kerry's shoulder surgery I was worried that he would get bored and over do, so I stood by as he and Cameron worked on a project in the yard. Kerry decided to take out the sidewalk along the back of the house and to add to the demension of the patio before putting the deck up. And yes he used his should far too much as the concrete was setting up.
Jack was very curious to know what all of the noise was about as his Daddy and Grandpa were working so hard outside.

This piece of sidewalk had raised up with a tree root that had grow under it. We decided that it needed to be replaced before someone tripped and hurt themself badly. We've already had stubbed toes and slight trips already.

After breaking out the old concrete these guys got busy putting in the new.

It will be nice not to worry about someone hurting themselves anymore!

Swiss Days Tradition

Swiss Days are a tradition for our family at least the for the females. When Kerry's Mom moved to Midway years ago she introduced us to the annual celebration. In my crafting days it was a goal to be accepted and do a Swiss Days show and so when I did it was a great experience, even though it about killed me to be ready.

Part of the tradition is the food, Swiss Tacos and scones with honey for the girls. Then the guys usually get the sandwiches with the fresh sauerkraut. It is always fun to be together. There weren't as many of us this year but it was still fun to meet "Grandma Pat" and go through the booths.
Cousins getting to know each other better.
Right now there is always a baby in my hand, gotta love it!!!!
Aren't they cute?
Always posing for me.
More bonding.
The whole gang.
Grandma Pat was working at the Swiss taco booth when we arrived and we got clear up to her before she saw us, she immediately grabbed Olivia and started to show her off.
Getting ready to be in the sun.
I love watching my girls with their kids it gives me such sweet pleasure.

So it used to be that I had a hard time walking away from Swiss Days without buying a ton of stuff now there isn't so much that I am interested in but being with the family is part of the great tradition.
