Tanner's Blessing

This was Tanner's special day, December 13th, when he was blessed. Because of time constraints for his dad and the COLD SNOWY day we didn't even get group pictures done and this one is the closest of his family that I got. I hope someone got at least one that I can get from them.
.
So handsome in his little tux.

We love you Tanner!

Love My Time With Rebecca

Each and every day that Rebecca is at home still is a blessing for me! She keeps talking about moving into an apartment and is always looking...while I know that it is inevitable I am thankful for the time with her!!! I love doing things with her like going to movies, watching "One Tree Hill" among several other shows, looking at floor plans and going to the model homes to name a few things. She has been decorating her room for the various holiday's. Several years ago I made a wreath from Christmas ornaments and I loved it, however, one evening it fell from where it was hung and shattered on the wood floor in our hallway. Rebecca decided that she wanted to make a smaller version for her room and so I made another one for the house. The difference is that the ornaments are not glass this time! It was a lot of fun making these together despite the fact that it took several days because we had to stop and start a few times with her schedule. It was fun to talk and laugh as we did it, a memory that I will always treasure. We also got on a decorating kick and it was fun to do new thing for the holiday's. We created a new look for the tree in the formal living room that I loved this year, as well as decorating "Grandma Smith's little tree we gave her anonymously the year before she died.

I just love her beautiful smile and her great sense of humor!

This project was frustrating at times because we are both perfectionists and we could always see whole or gaps!
Even as it was hanging I kept seeing problems with it and will have to do some repairs before next year! The time with Rebecca "PRICELESS!"

Thanksgiving

It was our family year for Thanksgiving Dinner this year everyone, with the exception of Cydney's family, sniff, sniff! I love it when we are all together and love many of the traditions we have as a family.
Snuggle time!
Olives and kids, just a great combination.

Dinner preparations
Rebecca makes these fabulous "specialty drinks" and so we enjoyed them prior to the meal.
Kerry is always in charge of the dressing for the meal, "yummo" as Rachel Ray would say.
The dressing is my favorite part of the meal.
Except for maybe the candied yams or as Natalie calls them "candied yumminess."
Waiting for pumpkin pie or pumpkin roll Spencer finally got too tired.
Tanner loved looking around and getting the majority of the attention in the room!

Just watching a movie and enjoying being together.

No better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than being together with a great family. I am truly blessed with a wonderful family.

Jessica's Birthday

When Tanner was born Dave, Jes and the boys didn't get to see or be around him much because they thought that Caleb might have had the swine flu that was going around. Jessica's birthday was the first time that we were all together, minus Cydney, Ken, and Nora, for the first time after he was born. Jessica held him and play with him for quite awhile. It's funny that when we get together we always end up sitting on the floor talking. Dave used to think we were funny when we would sit in the landing in our house and talk and laugh until late hours.

So much fire you can't even see the cake, just kidding Jessica.

Present time!

Caleb's first chance to hold Tanner!

Spencer's turn!
It was a fun evening together!

Two wheeler!

On a cold Sunday afternoon we got a cute phone call from Caleb. He had started riding his bike without training wheels the day before and practiced at the church parking lot for several hours. He wanted us to come out and see him ride his bike. Who could resist such an invitation? So Kerry, Rebecca and I headed out to see the new milestone. He had the biggest grin on his face as we loaded up the car with his bike and helmet as well as Spencer's.

It was such a cold November day that we didn't stay very long but it was fun to watch them as they rode around showing us their accomplishments. Such cute boys. I loved that they called us to come and watch them, being a Grandma is so much fun!
