The day after Kerry's reunion we headed to the coast, one of our favorite get away places. No work, just relaxation and quiet and tradition.
Sitting on the wall at Depot Bay with a bag of caramel corn and watching for whales and or feeding the birds has become part of our tradition. The birds always seem to find us! While caramel corn is probably made from the same basic recipe everywhere it just seems better there in Depot Bay.
During the many times that we have been to the coast I don't believe I have ever seen the water this still, it was like glass, more like a lake than the ocean. The weather was absolutely beautiful.
Over a yea rago during the tsunami that devastated Japan a boat dock was lost and floated across the ocean to land on Nye Beach. We like many other tourists hiked along the beach to check it out. It is pretty amazing to see but kind of an eye sore to such a beautiful beach.
We got a phone call telling us this little one is very sick. Why this happens while I am gone I don't know but I am grateful that my girls take are of one another and pitch in when the going gets rough. It is hard to learn the news via the phone and to know how sick she is and how stressed her parents are right now. Thank goodness for Dr.'s and mecical care to get her back on her feel again. Love you little Liv.
