The Celebration

After Rachel's graduation we went to Tepanyaki for dinner. It was a lot of fun to sit around and talk and laugh and just relax in general after such a hectic week.
Spencer and Caleb were intrigued by the fire that was across the room from us as we were getting started.
Spencer not so sure of the fire when it was right in front of us.
Caleb thought he was getting squirted by soy sauce when our Chef pointed the red bottle at him, only to learn that the bottle was full of string. It gave us all a good laugh, including Caleb when he realized it was a trick.
The reaction from the other side of the table when Caleb was squirted, oh those yummy vegetables on the grill . A great finsh to a great and busy week. All things good.

Through all of the crowd at the Marriott Center Caleb managed to spot a tiny grasshopper outside the glass doors. There we were all standing there watching the grasshopper and the boys, moments later Spencer raised his leg and tried to stomp on the poor little thing.

The end of a big day for Rachel a new beginning for Senora Lunt. Rachel has worked so hard to finish up this week. We are very proud of her and her hard work. The commencements speaker was Elder Scott from the Counsel of the Twelve he gave a really good talk. I really like graduations during August, you can actually find your student and watch them! As the procession began I teared up just like I have with every graduation. When Rebecca teased me I told her it was another chapter closing in my life and despite my happiness for them it was a little difficult for me.

She went in to learn now she's going out to earn!

Amidst all of the things going on last week in our family Jessica called Kerry and I to meet them for lunch. We were all in a hurry so we met at the McDonalds on the corner. Not a nutritious meal to say the least but the boys made it fun as usual. Spencer started the whole thing.

Jessica and I had just had our haircut. I promised her I would let her put it on her blog first doens't she look cute. Mine well it's cooler and like Kerry says the only difference between a bad haircut and a good one is two weeks. We'll see how I feel then! Thanks for the break Jes, anytime you want to meet for lunch I am game.

Time With Caleb

On Sunday the Gordon's came to the house to pick up some apricots that I had purchased for them. While they were there Caleb asked if we could go out back together for awhile. One of his favorite places is to go into the garden. Our tomatoes are just starting to come on a little bit. He found all of the pear and cherry tomatoes that were ripe and we picked them. He then found one of the big ones that was almost ripe and put it on the patio table. Unfortunately he didn't put it out of Quate's reach and so he got the first big tomatoe from this season. We then harvested zucchini, cucmbers, green beans and some of the peppers. It was fun to have him there with me.
After the garden we sat on the swing and talked and then I broke out a bottle of bubbles. Caleb got quite a kick out of Quate' chasing the bubbles in the yard. Yesterday while Jessica and Rosemarie were in with the chiropractor Spencer slept on my shoulder and Caleb and I again talked. He talked my leg off it was fun. He talked about coming to Hawaii to see Grandpa Stevenson and I and then about his trip to Omaha to see Grandpa and Grandma Gordon and the Children's Museum and then about Tennesee with Grandma Ann and swimming in her pool. He has a lot of adventures planned for the future. I can't believe he starts preschool next week. It has been fun just talking and spending some quiet time with him, just the two of us.

I'm in mourning!!!!

After the Peter Breinholt concert and seeing the fabulous pictures that Jessica was taking with the office camera I jokingly told Kerry that I wanted a new camera. Several days later I took my camera out of my purse and it's case and much to my dismay the screen was shattered. Now that I am really taking pictures again. The sad thing is I wonder if anyone believes that I didn't break it on purpose. I promise guys I didn't break my camera on purpose and am just sick. I was trying to take Rebecca's picture with her books since she found out that she was in the class at the MATC for dental assisting. She was so excited and alas I missed the photo op. I truely am in mourning. My blogs may be pretty boring for awhile sorry.

Fun Family Times

Before Kerry headed back to Honolulu for two weeks Jessica decided to have a game night with the family. Cameron was still under the weather from his wisdom teeth so he and Rachel stayed home. When we all got there Dave and Jes were talking to Dave's dad so Spencer took advantage of some quiet time to get Natalie to read to him. I don't think she minded very much!
Cydney called and of course she wanted to talk to Caleb, she was part of the evening too. We miss you Cyd and Ken.
After playing a couple games with the boys it was bed time. Grandpa got to read the bed time story, he didn't mind that either. He was quite surprised when Spencer opened one of the flaps and when Grandpa asked him what the animal was and Spencer replied "McCaw" we were expecting bird or parrot but...

We finally got to see the "Big Boy Bunk Bed's" and Caleb was showing us the view from the top.

Spencer was telling Grandpa goodnight and bye bye. Being a grandparent has to be one of my favorite things in the whole world. I love family time.
